All of us may have dabbled in the art of internet dating once or twice, looking for that perfect special someone. On some occasions, we've even gotten a bit hot and steamy over an internet conversation with someone that looks nothing like what they've described. Or, we send a picture of ourselves that was taken 12 years prior when we were in perfect shape. Whatever the case, the entire situation never turns out the way we expect it to. Just take this poor guy for example. He attempts to send a picture, although a seemingly innocent notion until he picks one that looks a bit unlike himself. See what happens. You'll never expect the ending.

A Funny Toast: Fred and Wilma Flintstone

2/26/2010 02:19:00 PM · 1 comments

On occasion, my significant other tries to, or attempts, to be humorous. This wedding toast featuring Fred and Wilma Flintstone is too cute and creative for words. What do you think? Would you use these lines during your wedding toast?

Till death do us part, or until the Dino Ribs run out.

I am here tonight for the same reason as all of you, because there’s an open bar.

No really, I ‘m going to try my best to not get too emotional. (sigh and re-compose)

We are here to honor Fred and Wilma Flintstone. I grew with Fred Flintstone…In fact; he was just a stone’s throw away. I have never seen anyone throw the bowling ball like old twinkle toes. Fred can really do the bedrock twist. We will all have to encourage Fred to shake it a little later. There is only way you can describe Fred’s work, Fred Rocks!

I thought Fred would find it very difficult to find someone as kind, friendly, and great as he is. Yet, once again Fred overachieved and found Wilma.

Wilma is smart, sweet, and can cook some mean dino ribs. “Wilma, I look forward to getting to know and love you as I do Fred.”

They have only been together for a short time and they already have their future planned out. They love kids and kids love them. So they are going to have one daughter and make chewable vitamins that are kid friendly. There is also some talk about Fred becoming the next software mogul. He hopes to be bigger than Bill Gates, and design a new and improved internet super highway.

Well, I thought it would be good to close with some advice for married couples. Never go to bed angry at one another, so be prepared to stay up late all night arguing! No seriously, life is too short, so make sure to always be there for one another.

Now, the great thing about tonight is that we will all have plenty of time to spend getting to know them better. The bartenders that is! Oh yes, and Fred and Wilma.

Now if everyone would lift their glasses and joining me in wishing Fred and Wilma a great marriage and a wonderful future.

I love you guys!

Now let’s all have a Yabba Dabba Doo time!

The National Rodeo Finals

2/26/2010 01:35:00 PM · 1 comments

One of my first jobs when I was 15 years old was at a horse farm watering all of the horses and cleaning out the stalls. However, this was the first time in my life, beside watching the horse races with my grandfather, that I got to check out bare back rodeo riding. There were several horses at the farm that were prone to bucking off their riders, and so the owner thought it would be wise to utilize them in a way that seemed natural, and yes, a bit risky. Ultimately, the owners of the farm decided to start training some of their seasoned and experienced thrill seekers for the National Rodeo Finals.

I completely fell in love with the sport while watching all of the training that goes into competing. I watched the training day in and day out. The owners asked me if I wanted to go with them to the finals, however I was a bit to young at the time and I was still in school. I was so disappointed, but I still followed the sport, waiting patiently until I could go myself without a chaperon.

Now, of course, I'm thrilled that I have the chance to go. My fiance, who's planning a trip for us to Vegas in December this year, was looking for NFR Tickets. Aside from the fact that our airfare is next to nothing, we had a bit of extra cash to spend on tickets, and I keep bugging my fiance to get good seats. The 200 section range from $147 to $323 which is really reasonable considering every seat offers a decent view of the riders. The best seats range from $624 to $1249.

My fiance spent many years in Texas, and he's a true cowboy through and through. I, on the other hand, am a huge fan of bare back riding. I just think there's something liberating about connecting with a horse with nothing between the both of you exact raw power and complete drive. So the National Rodeo Finals is going to be a thrill of a lifetime and I can't wait.

So this is what happens when cupcakes have ambition. This short film is enormously entertaining and creative. There is a message, however, and that is to not take your vegetables for granted. Oh, and if there's a flood, you can always use some carrots to save your love ones. Watch, and you'll see.

A stalwart cupcake escapes from his native land to see what lies beyond the sugar skyscapers and candy-condos...

The Epic short film features "The Hero", a person that has changed the face of society, and has directly affected the world in a positive way.

It's powerful and edgy, giving viewers a sense of honor and power. So, without further a due, here's your chance to watch me in my film debut. Who knows, you may be next. If you'd like to be featured in a film like this click here.

Luscious Landscape Photography

The landscapes of nature are neither soiled with heavy interruption, nor do they exist without a phenomenon which was originally derived from the supernatural to the galactic universe. The name itself comes from the Latin word “Natura” or “the course of things”, relating to animals, plants, the sky above, the earth below, the soul of a human being and the aspects of the world.

Last Minute Travel Ideas

2/24/2010 08:53:00 AM · Comments

Just recently, my sister and fiance were overseas in the UK for a work convention. My sister has now been there over 10 times, and I just couldn't be more green with envy. On a whim, while her husband was working, she decided to look into some last minute holidays so she could visit her friend that had transferred to Costa Rica for work several years back. She planned to stay several days, so she looked for a flight that met her requirements.

She checked out a UK site that specialized in late holidays and was able to find a flight for a reasonable price. The flight was quite long, but well worth it in the end. She was able to visit her friend and take in many sites while she was there.

I had mentioned to her on the phone before she left that she had to visit the Museum of Precolumbian gold and the Jade Museum. I'd been reading about both of the museums when I was doing some research and she was able to see the sites first hand. Not to mention, she was still able to speak Spanish pretty fluently, even after several years of not using it, so she was able to find out some hot spots and locations that were super reasonable and not exactly known to the public. Of course, so many of the residents in Costa Rica already speak English, but my sister and I think it's important to respect the culture and converse with the locals in their native language.

After a long couple of days shopping and seeing the sites, she flew back to the UK just in time to meet her husband for a late dinner.

She called me a few days later and said that her first trip to Costa Rica was amazing and gratifying. I was so pleased considering my fiancé and I had planned a trip to Costa Rica for Spring Break this year. I was thrilled that she gathered some visitor information for us prior to our trip. It made all of our holiday plans so much easier to plan. Seventeen more days and I'm off.

The Best Online Games for Girls

2/23/2010 09:40:00 AM · Comments

In my spare time, which is a rare commodity at that, I try to play some of my favorite online games like Bingo, Lottso, Jungle Gin, and Girl Games.

I love games that have direct interaction with the characters, allowing for you to feel a personal connection with the game.

Now, I come from a generation that loved Atari and thought the graphics were super-hightech, however I'm also a girl that likes to actually act like a girl sometimes. When I was over at my girlfriends house, her daughter turned me on to this girl game site that has several activities including Barbie, Bratz, Celebrity Cooking, Dress Up Kissing, MakeOver, and more.

Of course, as a parent, you can choose which games your girls can play. It's a parent friendly site, mixed in with some more semi-adult situations facing our youth today. In a way, I think it adds a bit of humor to some subjects that parents have difficulty discussing with their young girls.

The best part about this site is that there are no fees or downloads, just entertaining and educational games. As a special perk, your girls will get to interact with some of their role models like Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, and Britney Spears.

However, I was able to play a game that featured Sean Connery. *Sigh*...Still handsome and charming after so many years.

If you have a curious, young lady in your household, check out this site. I'm sure you'll even find some games that you'll love, as well as your daughter.

How Does Art Inspire You?

2/22/2010 06:15:00 PM · 1 comments

Several years ago I set up a ecommerce hosting account to sell a few hand made products I was making in my spare time. I was taking trips to hobby shops and purchasing dark brown bamboo poles to make certain crafts out of. I'm sure many of you have seen bamboo wind-chimes in stores, however I was making candles.

The difference was, I would take several days to carve certain proverbs, artwork, and other designs into the bamboo with carving and wood-burning tools. I also started to dabble with napkin rings, working tirelessly on designs and carvings and I was so busy, I couldn't keep up with the demand.

I had one individual that had purchased 50 napkin rings from me for a small outdoor wedding, which she said went off without a hitch. I was so pleased that my artwork was on display for all to see.

The point of this story, and yes I have one I think, I really miss those long days in my workshop at the house I left behind. I would play Mozart and sip my Gevalia coffee, all while I was creating these one of kind trinkets. I guess I just miss it, and I really miss the time I had to actually be creative. Now it's all about books, studying, and getting up early.

Amazing how things change.

William Ricketts worked on the Sanctuary for fifty years, transforming a natural old-growth eucalyptus forest into a unique place of spiritual renewal and quiet reflection.

Situated in the Dandenongs in a ferny glade, the William Ricketts Sanctuary is a place of beauty and tranquility, due both to the natural setting and the mystical sculptures half hidden among ferns along enchanting pathways.

Made of clay from the Bendigo region, these breathtakingly beautiful and visionary sculptures create a magical presence. Ricketts wanted to express his respect for Aboriginal culture and foster a love of the Australian landscape with visitors via his artworks. See all of the pictures of William Ricketts Sanctuary

Murder in New Zealand: Minnie Dean the Baby Murderer

2/20/2010 04:38:00 PM · 1 comments

Val Mills describes the Victorian age when many women were desperate to rid themselves of unwanted children, and some occasions, that called for drastic measures. Minnie Dean, on the other hand, was on the other end of this conspiracy. She had desired a child and had purchased one from a baby farmer. She was later suspected of smuggling one off a train and it was found buried in the garden.

Baby farming was widespread in late Victorian times, when effective contraception was not widely available and unmarried mothers were ostracized. Desperate women contacted baby farmers, who for a price took these unwanted babies. In the days before official adoption, sometimes these babies were adopted for a lump sum payment. Other babies were taken into care for regular payments. Unfortunately, the people involved in this practice did not have the welfare of the babies at heart, and it was financially more viable if the babies in their care died or were disposed of mysteriously. Tektites: Origins of Glass from Outer Space

2/19/2010 08:31:00 PM · 1 comments

Stickman fills us in on the new theory of the origins of glass from outer space and beyond.

It used to be thought that tektites were ‘from the moon’ but this theory has been more-or-less ruled improbable. Between the 1950s and 1990s it was theorized by NASA specialists that tektites were impact ejecta from a prominent lunar impact site called the Rosse formation, on the near-side and brilliant lunar crater Tycho. While more facts about tektites have made this unlikely, the lunar-impact theory is not entire ruled out. Remaining was the second major theory; the meteorite impact theory which has its own merits and problems. Both theories speak to the fact that tektites were formed ‘in outer space.’ That much is not in doubt. Read more about Tektites

Magnetic Bracelets: The Use of Magnets for Natural Remedies

2/18/2010 08:50:00 AM · 1 comments

I spend many hours online writing articles and maintaining my blogs, however over the years, I have developed carpal tunnel and some minor arthritis in my hands. The problem has gotten worse since I had my restaurants and I spend all day flipping pans with the use of my wrists. I had tried several pain pills and aspirin, but those types of remedies are temporary. I even purchased a magnet bracelet to help me with my migraines.

I can honestly say, that when I stopped using pills and started using natural remedies like magnetic bracelets, my migraines and arthritis completely subsided. I was, however, looking for some jewelry that I could wear on a daily basis to classes, and no one would really know why I had chosen the pieces that I did.

I was looking on online for some retailers that specialize in this type of remedy and was able to find a wonderful site that had a large selection of jewelry that could be worn on a daily basis.

This magnet bracelet was by far my favorite find on the site and it only cost $14.99. I adore the colors in this piece and matches perfectly with almost every article of clothing that I have, including a handmade Peruvian scarf that wear with it.

The best part about this jewelry site is that they have a satisfaction guarantee and they ship worldwide for FREE! How many sites do you know that actually do this?

The Great White Shark

When I started blogging close to two years ago, one of the first articles I ever wrote was about the Great White Shark.

South African Great White Shark

Great White Shark-SharkDiver.com

Great White Shark-SharkDiver.com

They are perfect, relentless and always hungry. They never sleep and prowl the seas like nuclear-powered torpedoes. That would be a pretty bad rap for anybody, even though few sharks would attack a human without being provoked. Scientists claim that sharks kill without ill will or premeditation and thus cannot be labeled 'malicious'.

It's a tough and cheek kind of piece, but it's entertaining and educational for those of you will a small shark obsession, like myself.

We Are The World Remake

2/16/2010 09:55:00 AM · 1 comments

Fans are reacting to the new remake of the song "We Are the World". The song was originally written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, and co-produced by Quincy Jones and Michael Omartian for the album We Are the World.

From my personal standpoint, yes the original did touch me, and still does, in ways that can't be rivaled. However, I think as a fan of the song "We Are the World", the remake was almost as powerful as the original. Just the words alone can make your heart ache and tears flow.

So I'll let you be the judge. Please let me know what your interpretation is.

Luge Tragedy Accident at the Olympics

2/15/2010 04:03:00 PM · Comments

The Olympics are a time when all people, of all walks of life, come together in the spirit of sports. However, Olympic Luge contender Nodar Kumaritashvili was involved in a fatal crash on February 12. Of course, there are always risks when it comes to extreme sports and unfortunately, things like this can happen.

I did watch the video and I can honestly say, I was powerfully affected. My heart almost stopped beating. I can't even imagine how his family is feeling right now, but I wanted to send blessings to the luge community and the family of Nodar Kumaritashvili.

The luge has always been one of my favorite Olympic sports to watch ever since I was a kid, so I was deeply saddened when I saw the accident occur.

I have not posted a link to the video as it's already circling the web for those of you that want to see it. However, I think it's in your best interest not to.

MSNBC has published an update about the Luge Association meeting and how they will proceed after the accident. However, the Georgian team already pulled out completely. This video is the latest report about what's being done.

Suffering in the Sake of Beauty: Ibo Women of Nigeria

2/13/2010 05:40:00 PM · 2 comments

Why do women suffer for the sake of beauty?

Some will go to great lengths to improve wrinkles by going under the knife, some will consistently rely on Botox injections to make their face flawless and emotionless, and then there are the Ibo women.

The Ibo women of Nigeria wear gold anklets from adolescence. The anklets are fixed on them by smiths, and when they walk, they have to swing their legs outwards so they don't trip. The women that wear these intricate pieces make for a fine procession, and the reflection off the anklets attracts onlookers to their sleek and slender bodies. Women who are even more daring will wear copper or brass spirals of brass which covered most, if not all, of their legs.

The Gift, Beauty, and Color of Water

2/08/2010 07:21:00 PM · 2 comments

Hawaiians believe that water is a gift from the akua, and it holds an unending source of life. It's a sacred source as it falls from the sky, trickles down the sides of mountains, bubbles up from the earth, and through all of this, makes its way to the ocean to feed and nourish plant life and sea creatures.

In every culture, water is a necessary for human life. If the water had never surrounded the islands, they would never be populated. It gives wealth and prosperity to many, and to some, it holds sacred properties that aid the sick, and nourishes the healthy.

The Hula Dance

2/08/2010 09:24:00 AM · 1 comments

The Hula dance was a movement, or rather a celebration, of deities and ritually marked occasions. The dance displayed the history of the peoples and it embodied a wonderfully delightful pastime enjoyed by deities and humans. There are several stories that speak of the origins of Hula, however one is widely accepted, that being the creation of Kapo. Kapo was the first dancer and teacher of the Hula dance, so it’s not at all surprising that the true origin of Hula was traced back to Kapo.

What Lengths Do HomeOwners Go to Perfect Their Abode?

2/07/2010 12:34:00 PM · 2 comments

It's been close to 8 months since my fiance and I have been out of our house. We had huge plans of putting in solid wood flooring all over the house, along with adding on a new addition, amongst many other renovations. However, when the outlook changed, we had to move closer to the college, and my renovation changes had to put on the shelf. I had gone to great lengths to find all of the contractors and the supply companies that I was going to use, one of those being in Warwickshire, England.

I found this company accidentally when I was reading about Kenilworth Castle. My major, as many of you already know, is Medieval European Archaeology. So, when I started studying the area of Warwickshire, I found out that during the Middle Ages it was one of the most important textile manufacturing cities in England. Considering that everything is my home has a past or a story, I thought what better of a place to find some flooring.

For months, I looked and looked for this specific brand of wood flooring from a reputable and high quality dealer, and I finally found what I was looking for.

I found some Berthold American Walnut Solid Flooring that had a rustic and old world charm.

Even though my renovation plans have been put on hold, I still have the resources to complete every project when we finally start designing again.

However, my sister did get a hold of this classified information and she ordered walnut flooring for her upstairs loft master bedroom in her home. She finished just last year and I can't even tell you how incredible it looks. Just look at the picture. Is that not flooring perfection?

Travel to Antarctica

2/07/2010 12:15:00 PM · Comments

Not only did explorers find a stash of 100 plus year old Whisky and Rum this week in Antarctica, but those of us that aren't that familiar with this serene and mysterious location caught a glimpse of what it could be like to see first hand.

There is a common phenomenon with 12 or more tropical storms (typhoon) in the Antarctica and it is by far the most frequent turmoil, with wind speed above 100km per hour. The France “Dierweier” observation team has detected the wind speed with 100m per second, a wind speed of 12 typhoons three times, and its destructive power is equivalent to 10 times of 12 typhoons. Therefore, the Antarctic is renowned for a characteristic of “very windy.”

Luoerde Amundsen (Roald Amundsen) is the first explorer who reached Antarctica on December 14, 1911. A month later, Robert Scott (Robert Falcon Scott) arrived at the Antarctica. However, Scott and his four companions were dying of hunger due to extremely cold weather in the Antarctica.

Saving Money on Car Insurance

2/07/2010 12:01:00 PM · Comments

For the past 9 years, I have stuck with the same car insurance company because of their great rates and customer service. However, and it seems lately, that I have been getting contacted by competing insurance companies that have had my business in the past. My reasons for leaving were many, so I don't want to detail all the incidents.

My concern is, if these companies can follow through with their offers, what's the chance that I will change companies. I have grown quite comfortable, but if there's a substantial difference is rates, I might just give them a try.

When it comes to car insurance, how many of you have been with the same company for over 10 years? If you have, and a better offer comes your way, would you be willing to change?

Hand Blown Glass Art

2/04/2010 04:58:00 PM · 3 comments

Revolutionary changes in glass blowing have instrumentally influenced the Organic movement of sculpture. Artists have now taken physical objects and transformed their fluid movements into pieces of luxurious art.

For many artists, the art of making hand blown glass is a tireless and passionate form of expression, which now a days, many of us have the pleasure of experiencing in our own homes.

To arrive at these pieces of art, the glass blowers will start with blowing a tube which are “fire-enclosed” on one side and inflated by blowing through an opening to form a bottle. From that point, they were able to transform the sculpture into various shapes and forms, using a rainbow of vibrant colors.

I was introduced to glass blowing several years ago by a friend at an art festival, and since I was working with a completely empty palate at home, I was seeking a piece that was one of a kind and fit my personality. After I found my perfect piece, my obsession continued.

I could never find what I really wanted in stores, so I looked all over the internet looking for glass blown art directly from artists. I wanted something fluid and reflecting forms in nature, and I was able to find several pieces that fit that description.

As you can plainly see, my favorite glass color is purple. I can't tell you how difficult it is to find purple glass, and I have searched. In the past, I have always collected deep amethyst depression glass, so I wanted something similar to mix with my decor.

The pieces I have featured here are both $189.00 each, and in my opinion, I think with all the care it takes to create such work it's worth every penny.

Valentines Day Italian Style in Branson, Missouri

2/04/2010 12:23:00 PM · Comments

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you planned your Valentines Day Holiday? Every year, couples travel hundreds of miles to various romantic locations around the globe to experience a day of relaxation and ultimate romance. So this year, if you're in the Branson, Missouri area, why not book an Italian Culinary Weekend for yourself and your significant sweetheart at the Hilton Branson Convention Center.

The package for the Italian Culinary Weekend starts at $429.00(excluding tax and gratuity) and it includes:

  • A deluxe king or double queen accommodation for Friday and Saturday night,
  • Friday evening reception,
  • Saturday evening five course dinner,
  • A gift bag with everything that a chef could ever want for their home kitchen.

If you love your romantic stay, and I'm sure you will, then you'll want to plan a trip back in October for a Romance Weekend Package. This package is the epitome of the "do not disturb getaway" for those of you escaping your busy lives, or for that matter, celebrating an anniversary or birthday.

Now, for those of you that may want to take a break from the romantic festivities, I suggest going out and seeing the sites in Branson. I have, on occasion, visited many of the restaurants, boutiques, museums, and theme parks while I was visiting several years ago.

In fact, some of my favorite attractions were the Uncle Ikes's Horse Trail, which was a thrill for me, as I really don't get the chance to ride as often as I would like with my busy schedule. I also loved Branson Zipline, which to put it simply, is an canopy tour of the Ozark Mountains. You just can't go to Branson without seeing the Ozarks.

So how do you plan on doing all of this in one weekend? Well, it's simple. When I stayed at the Convention Center in Branson, I made sure I ate my breakfast there to start my day off running. Then I headed over to Branson Ziplines where I spent about 2 1/2 hours hiking the trails. I headed back for a quick bit at the Fall Creek Bakery, and then I headed over to Lake Taneycomo where I walked and took in the sounds of nature. From there I headed back to the hotel for a shower.

There's no shortage of activities and amenities available to you as a traveler and guest. I have only touched the tip of the iceberg, so it's up to you to keep on exploring while I'm taking a break.

What Do Women Really Want?

2/04/2010 09:32:00 AM · Comments

How many times in you life has your girlfriend asked you why you always go for jerks? Well, I can honestly say that I have gone for a few, but sometimes you have to when you want to get to a nice guy. That's why relationships and dating can be such fun, and sometimes a drag. However, Jennifer Marre believes that women set themselves up when they have a certain personality, or dress a certain way. So is it really our fault that we'd rather have a jerk than a nice guy?

Men are always complaining that women only go for “jerks” and won’t give “nice guys” a chance. It seems to be common knowledge that jerks are the guys who get all the girls and that “nice guys” remain forever in the “friend zone.” But how much of this actually has to do with female preference, and how much of it has more to do with the types of women that males prefer?

Cheap Tickets for the Best Shows On Earth

2/04/2010 08:48:00 AM · Comments

It isn't that often that myself and my fiance get the time to travel, however when we do, we look to make the trip as fun and entertaining as possible for all those that accompany us. Since my fiance and I tend to plan trips with family and friends that have children, and we just have our animals, it's important to make sure everyone has something to do.

Believe it or not, my fiance's dad has always been an enormous horse racing fan, but he's never been to one of the greatest races on earth. So this year, I decided to get him Kentucky Derby Tickets. As a child, all I remember my grandfather talking about was the horse Secretariat-the fastest horse to run the derby in 1 minute 59 2/5 seconds in 1973. I remember walking up to the gates and there being a huge statue of Secretariat, and as a child, I think I was so in awe of it's presence that horse racing became a huge part of my life.

I know not everyone has the same experience, and I certainly knew that my nieces and nephews, who already own horses, would not be so impressed. So what did I have to do? I had to purchase Sesame Street Live Tickets and Disney On Ice Tickets, something that would satisfy their need to see Oscar the Grouch and Mickey Mouse, all within the same week. Of course, Oscar was always my favorite to, and I think he still is, so I was looking forward to feeling like a kid again as well.

When you plan your family trips every year, if you do, what types of activities do you do? Since Friends Revolution has a huge fan base of parents, I'm sure we would all like to know what kind of vacations have worked out the best for your family.

Start Writing on Factoidz today: Make Great Money Online

2/03/2010 10:00:00 AM · Comments

A couple weeks ago I signed up for the Factoidz writing site and I was, to be completely honest, a bit standoffish. Over the past 2 years I have been writing for sites like Triond, Bukisa, Associated Content, Helium, Ehow, and some others, and I've grown quite comfortable. However, sometimes that's not such a good thing.

My writing had grown tremendously, and I just feel that it's so important to stretch my wings a bit, instead of just writing what I think people want to read. Sometimes you have to consider your own feelings, so that's why I took my history articles over to Factoidz.

I was looking for a platform that would allow me to share some new and interesting stories, without worrying about all of the pictures that people tend to want to see on other sites. I had some pretty lengthy, yet fascinating pieces, so I knew that a site like Factoidz would be the perfect site to start.

Luckily, I was able to sign up under one of my friends profiles. This simply allowed me to start publishing and making money right away. Otherwise, you have to go through a long application process to be considered as a writer there.

I now have 6 articles posted, and I have already made some money. So here's the gift I'm giving all of my readers and writer friends. If you are an online writer trying to make some money, I suggest signing up for Factoidz under my profile.

The benefits of this are as as follows:

  • New members you sign up as affiliates get instant upgrades to Writer status, so they can start writing and earning immediately.
  • Normal members must go through a writer application process before being able to publish and earn revenues.
  • You can use this same approach with your writer friends, and all of you will benefit in the long run.

If you want to see one of my articles, the platform, and the proof that I'm doing well, just check the Popular Today tab and you'll see over three of my articles posted in the spotlight.

Weird, Bizarre, and Strange Animals

2/02/2010 12:36:00 PM · 1 comments

Imagine an animal that lives in freezing waters or at pressures that would crush a human being in an instant. These are the strange and bizarre animals that fascinate us the most. Although the appearance of exotic birds and the smooth stride of the panther is to be admired, the creatures that have remained among us through destruction of our planet day after day are the ones that are the most intriguing.

Giant Isopod

This bizarre sea creature giant isopod belongs to crustacean family. It is believed that they are found abundant in regions that are very cold, especially deep waters of the Atlantic ocean. They feast on water bodies that float near the seabed floor and they are quite agile hunters. Read more about Bizarre Sea Creatures By Anuradha Ramkumar

Teens and Sex: Sex Education for the Future

2/02/2010 12:00:00 PM · 1 comments

When I was growing up, the topic of sex really didn't come all that often. I had to find out things from my friends, until I really felt comfortable talking about it with my parents. Honestly, I think teens want and upfront and in your approach when talking about sex. Give the facts, and maybe, they'll be more prepared in the future. Ruby Hawk, a full time writer, let's us on a little secret.

Your teenagers might not know as much about sex as you think. Parents can have an exaggerated idea about how much their teens really know. You might have informed them of the facts of the birds and the bees but how much did they take in about sexually transmitted diseases, sexting, and protecting their health. It’s every parent’s duty to inform their kids of all the facts. So don’t be stingy with sexual information.

How to Become a Star: Enter the PopStation Contest

2/01/2010 05:27:00 PM · Comments

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Popstation. All opinions are 100% mine.

So I know I'm a hopeless dreamer, but I had a thought. I have spent many years performing in plays, bars, churches, and other venues trying to sell people on something special, my voice. I guess I didn't really take it seriously until one of my friends mentioned the PopStation Contest you can enter to win a VIP album recording experience.

I figured I check it out, I mean if archaeology doesn't work out, at least I'll have my solo singing career to fall back on.

So here's how it works. I went to the site and registered for a free account. At this point, I need to pick a song, and new ones are available in the practice rooms for only two weeks, so I'm assuming I need to get my behind in gear.

Once you're in the practice room, you will do what you do best and that's prepare. You will be provided with lyric sheets, backing tracks, videos and song demos, however it's up to you to create your own personal style. Once you're ready to record, you'll have to download the song on your computer somewhere that you can find it.

You'll also need to download the Pop Station software to make all of this possible. Once this is in place, practice and record your song. Upload the song to the website and enter into a contest of your choice.

Promote, promote, promote. You're selling your talents and ambitions here, so make it count and be heard. When you reach #1, your up for the"The BIG Deal" which if you win includes:
  • All expenses paid three night stay in NYC at a ridiculously hip hotel.
  • Luxury car service
  • Two days in a recording studio, making what? You're very own album with a production team
Once the record is complete, it will be featured on the Popstation Artists Page for the world to see.

This is a once in a lifetime chance at your dreams and you're only a free account away from making those dreams a reality.
