Hawaiians believe that water is a gift from the akua, and it holds an unending source of life. It's a sacred source as it falls from the sky, trickles down the sides of mountains, bubbles up from the earth, and through all of this, makes its way to the ocean to feed and nourish plant life and sea creatures.

In every culture, water is a necessary for human life. If the water had never surrounded the islands, they would never be populated. It gives wealth and prosperity to many, and to some, it holds sacred properties that aid the sick, and nourishes the healthy.![]()

Some awesome pictures, I especially loved the first one. So intricate and amazing that a simple drop of water, if photographed right you could come up with this. Nature is amazing !!!
