Organic Gardening: Good for the Environment and your Health

When I was little, my mom and I used to play around in the flower garden. She would plant flowers, and I would dig them up. That may explain why I have such a hard time growing anything except cactus, tomatoes and roses.I have come to the conclusion that there are something’s I’m good at, and others well, I need a bit of help.

I have always tried to surround myself with orchids, plants, and any other flower that encourages spiritual and bodily comfort. In so doing, I always try to make sure I am growing and cooking with Organic products. For me, it’s a personal choice. I just feel that using natural products will aid in the health of my garden.

I have found that many people are following this trend as well. My next door neighbor, who actually works at a nursery, tells me all the time that she encourages organic gardening for promoting long life out of your garden and plants.

In my own home, I have a cactus garden, as well some Dolly Parton Rose Bushes that were planted before I purchased the home.

My Cactus garden is by far my favorite attraction. I have worked several years with Organics, along with weeding everyday, to see my cactus grow over 4 feet high. Recently, I have noticed that some kind of creature has had a delightful time in chewing the sides of my tallest cactus. I knew it has to be a beetle or grasshopper, but I needed some help. I looked around and found some Safer brand's flower garden care products that I could use to get rid of the little buggers.

I also have had some great success with my tomato plants, if of course my husky stays out of them. I use tomatoes all the time, so it's extremely important to me to have them healthy and happy. In fact, I only used organic Roma and Vine tomatoes when I had the restaurants, so I continued that trend at home using Safer brand's fruit & vegetable garden care products to keep them as fresh and flavorful as possible.

If you practice organic gardening at home, I would urge you to check out Safer Brands products. I have found them to be a great investment in the future of my garden.
